GLBT: History & Heroes

For over 7,000 years, gays, lesbians, bisexuals, and transgendered people have experienced systematic legal and social ostracism for simply being who they are. Although there is still work to be done, the world is more tolerant today because of the efforts of the many brave men and women who have fought and advocated for the right of GLBT persons to claim their space in the world. On September 23, nationally known keynote speaker, Dr. Kand McQueen, will celebrate the heritage of the GLBT experience, honor those who have ushered in change, and provide a strategy for acceptance of all human beings.
